Radio variety

Which radio markets are the toughest? Where is the most competition? With FMSCAN you can calculate how many stations there are on the FM dial. The maximum possible without significant interference theoretically is around 100 if all stations are separated by 0.2 MHz (87.6/87.8/88.0/88.2 etc). I've picked a number of cities in 2012 and counted the number of strong stations according to the following conditions:

at least 50 dB (all cities have strong transmitters leaving not much chance for weaker signals)
all local stations included (even if weaker in the city centre)
no double count of regional versions
normal propagation
