by Peer-Axel Kroeske, DL2LBP This is one of the best known frequencies for overseas DX in Europe. 927 KHz is almost free and two strong stations from east Canada can regularly be heard: CJYQ St.John's, NF and CFBC St.John, NB. But this is only the tip of the iceberg. During the night more than 40 carriers appear. Overseas signals can be detected almost all day. Only two hours around noon are quiet. Surprise: a station in the afternoon possibly via grey line effect. Could it be powerful CJCA Edmonton? Not sure because of the slightly unstable carrier. Now in 2015 CJCA seems much more stable. These are the stronger ones as listed in MWLIST. But it's possible that back in 2009 offsets were a bit different.
