Program Settings
I've compiled a special program list for Free-TV and Radio and a satellite.xml (transponder list) with some special features:
- All programmes on all satellites from 75E to 30W
- Only stations that were actually found by the scan (1.05m dish in Handewitt, North Germany)
- Satellite.xml contains all active transponders that can be received in Central Europe (no feeds)
- Bouquets for each satellite with Free-TV
- Favourite lists with essential German and English TV programmes
- Satellite and bouquet names by position ("E39 Hellas Sat", "W30 Hispasat", etc.)
- a few selected radio stations in favourite list
- most test and feed channels removed
- many annoying sex slide show promo channels removed (or how would you name them ?)
- last update: May 2010 (unfortunately parameters change rapidly)
The idea behind this concept: For each satellite there will be a bouquet list containing all stations that can actually be viewed. This makes zapping convenient. If you'd zap through the ordinary lists instead (TV->green/red button)
Pay TV, HD and slide show channels will always be included once you tune into one of their transponders. The auto update is a nice feature but zapping becomes annoying when you have a blank screen all the time. Nevertheless all Pay-TV transponders should be there so you can easily add any package to your favourite lists. The 'one bouquet per satellite' concept is most useful for anyone who uses a rotor.

It's easiest to upload the files to the Dreambox using the free Dreamboxedit software.
It's neccessary to send a "Reload" command after the FTP upload by the software.
The satellites.xml can only be used with Dreamboxedit version 1.80.
Dreamboxedit can also be used to edits these programme lists. Here is some info about the bugs I faced:
- Version 1.80 did not work with Hydra images on 1.08 firmware.
- SDX import: 1.80 only supports the old format (128 characters per line starting with 'SATCODX103')
- Version 2.02 only supports the new SDX format (328 characters per line starting with 'SATCODX110'). Otherwise error message: "Invalid SatcoDX file was checked for processing but skipped"
- First save settings to a file, then choose FTP transfer (if not you will receive error:"Invalid filename")
