HLLY Villa FM review

checking the 1 Watt FM transmitter

The Chinese HLLY company is known for cheap transmitters sold direct and via ebay and direct. Unfortuantely their reputation is not the best about unwanted unclean signal emissions. I've given it a try using a dummy load. The result might be better than expected but still far from professional standards. It could be recommended to use a lower frequency like 88.1 MHz. When using higher frequencies like 107.4 MHz the device produces large 100 KHz clusters in the critical 80 MHz bands with up to 100 Microwatts. This could possibly cause problems for police/rescue services in a radius of about 100 metres or even more - depending very much on the specific situation. But that's bad enough.
