SWSCAN Shortwave Radio Broadcast Prediction

By the end of Oct 2007 SWSCAN has become a part of the fmscan.org online ressource. The service is still experimental with partly outdated / incomplete schedules and many bugs. Introduction

Freeware: Complete Short Wave Frequency Database Tool with

On shortwave, radio stations have compex schedules. And propagation changes every hour. Which station is active right now? And what signal can I expect? These are key questions. This tool will guide you through the short wave jungle.

The software will create a time- and day-specific bandscan of any shortwave segment including a signal strength prediction (the dB column) looking like this:

You can graphically analyze any frequency over 24 h for your position:

And get info about the path, MUFs and signal losses on the way.

The former Shortwave Browser in MSDOS style is still available. It requires only a few kilobytes and requires the outdated ilgstext.txt file, which can't be downloaded here because of copyright reasons.
